GTMedia has provided information to WNY Over The Air about their upcoming ATSC 3.0 set-top box. The device, called the HDTV Converter X1, is available to preorder for $62.99 on Indiegogo, and will retail for $89.99 after the preorder period.

According to their Indiegogo page, the device has passed the DRM certification, and will support playback of DRM-encrypted channels and playback of DRM-encrypted DVR recordings.

The remote will also have number buttons, which is nice to see. GTMedia said HDTV Converter X1 is expected to be available on the market in May 2024.

Since the retail price will be the same as the ADTH Box, I hope this sparks more competition and falling prices across the board in the near future.

Here’s the HDTV Converter X1 Spec Sheet.
