The Future Should Look Like The Future.

The sun is constantly broadcasting free power.

Just like over the air TV broadcasts, the power broadcast by the sun is free and in the air around us. Why not use free broadcasted power to power free broadcasts?

The Future Of Data Delivery

In the future, djrTechnologies plans to create its own over the air broadcasts powered 100% by renewable energy—with not just net-0 emissions, but 0 emissions—for its day to day operations at each site. Using an IP-based wireless broadcast technology, the goal is to disperse heavily consumed data in the most efficient way possible—with wireless IP multicast technology. From heavily watched live TV streams, heavily listened to live audio streams, heavily visited websites, and more, the goal is to collaborate with device manufacturers and content publishers to deliver content to consumer devices in the most efficient, fast, modern, and environmentally friendly way possible. The fastest way to access information is on-device, and with storage and memory increasing rapidly in consumer devices, there’s a major opportunity to deliver a first-of-it’s-kind large scale modern multicast caching experience. This will help democratize the access to information and unleash unprecedented reach and scalability. Since broadcast is a fundamentally inexpensive data distribution platform, and offers widespread coverage as a byproduct, data can be delivered without incurring extra costs to areas low in socioeconomic status with low margins, and geographical regions untouched by terrestrial based networks due to high upfront costs and no pathway for ROI. Because there are inherent limits with physics as to how much data can be sent in a radio channel, and physical limitations with workarounds like spatial multiplexing, data delivery over broadcast is inevitable and will be widespread eventually. Data from these wireless multicasts will fuel data to billions of IoT devices simultaneously, and efficiently provide updated information to billions of on-device AI models.

Free Energy From The Galaxy's Largest Power Plant

djrTechnologies broadcasts will be powered with large solar arrays on-site with over-capacity in summers. Excess energy will be stored with a mix of green hydrogen for long term energy storage and BESS for short term energy storage, on-site. The goal is to be isolated from the power grid and to never use energy from the grid, ever. Using a mix of solar energy and green hydrogen is more cost effective in the long term, and puts these broadcasts at a competitive advantage. Power outages from the grid cost broadcasters money, and diesel backup generators have limited runtime and need refueling.

Data is efficiently delivered to your device and is available before you knew you needed it. Your device is now the cloud. Access information whenever and wherever you want.

Error-free transmission due to the combination of modern robust radio modulation techniques, advanced error correction coding, carousel transmission (delivering data in a continuous cycle), and unicast backup to correct errors in rare scenarios.

8K live and SVOD content using 0.00000001% of the normal bandwidth required for unicast transmission. Orders of magnitude more efficient.

Data delivered to individuals neglected by traditional telecom infrastructure, at no extra cost. The forgotten people are forgotten no-more.

Data distribution using a fraction of the energy required of unicast networks. With unicast, the more people requiring the same content, the higher the total energy demand. With broadcast, the more people requiring the same content, the lower the energy demand per person. It's scalable green technology.

Advanced emergency alerts catered to certain regions.

Crucially, all of this is contingent on ubiquitous broadcast support on consumer devices such as streaming TV players/boxes, smartphones, tablets, smartwatches, VR headsets, IoT devices, and more. This is the future of serving the public interest using the public's airwaves.

The Tip Of The Iceberg

There’s much more to this vision, including monetization, which I am not publicly publishing here. If you’d like to learn more or are interested in possible collaboration, feel free to reach out. It's important to note that this is still a concept, and is not open for investment at this time.
